Nice springy wan tan mee @ Johor Jaya

Another post on Wan Tan Mee, actually visited this place on Sept 17, but forgot to blog about it as there are too many place that we jalan jalan-ed to in order to find good cheap eats around Johor Bahru.

This place is definitely not new, most residents in this area should have tried. Though today is my first time trying.
Dumpling and Wan Tan

Their noodle with dark sauce + Chilli

Char Siew and some green as toppings
For the mee, both of us ordered the same, dark sauce + chilli. Looks pretty standard with char siew and some greens as toppings.

Dumpling

Wan Tan
I ordered 水饺 (dumpling) while SHE sticks with wan tan. The dumpling looks pretty tempting.

Green Chilli, not that great though
My must have companion.

I love the noodle, springy, 'Q Q' texture, cooked al dente, taste a little eggy. SHE prefer Hai Wei's wan tan mee due to the sauce. I do agree with HER that Hai Wei's sauce does taste better, but texture wise, this shop is much better.
I was telling her that if the we can use Hai Wei's sauce on this noodle then it'll be great combination.
The dumpling and wan tan is very good as well, but still I prefer Hai Wei's dumpling.
As for the char siew, it is pretty generic JB style char siew that are used in most wan tan mee stall, thin, dry, nothing special. Makes me feel like 90% of the wan tan stall are buying from same supplier or using the same recipe.

Video of flying mee
There were some 'bom bom bom' sound and I was wondering where did it come from. After looking only around, only I did realise that this shop performs flying mee stunt as well.

Clean and organized stall

Shop frontage
The whole shop looks organized and clean, but there is a BIG PROBLEM.
IT IS HOOOOOOOOOOOOT !!!!!!!!!!!
I was sweating profusely, no joking.

!!  ** MY VERDICT **  !!

WORTH THE MONEY? :  (Standard pricing, decent food, clean shop)
TASTE :  (No complains, pretty good meal)
ENVIRONMENT : ♥ (HOT, shop is very clean and tidy)
ACCESSIBILITY  :  (No problem with parking that day)
RETURN TO EAT : On a cloudy or raining day, yes. Never on hot day

date visited : 3rd week of Sept 2017
