[HALAL] Mee Bandung @ Tmn Daya

Went back to a roadside stall where I used to have my supper/dinner cos it WAS real good cheap eat in Johor Bahru.

But was kinda disappointing as I noticed that they have a menu on their stall (previously, there was no menu and price tag)
And now they got a name, Halimking Corner, I used to call it Mee Bandung Corner.

Halimking Corner aka Mee Bandung Corner's menu

This is a family owned roadside stall where you'll see the whole family working there. The chef will be the papa, assistant cook cum cashier will be mama and the drink maker is the son.
Been quite a while since my last visit (used to go there at least once a week but 'ponteng' for few months already)

As usual, ordered my favourite Mee Bandung with ayam.
Mee Bandung, another mee dish that looks like Mee Rebus and Mee Jawa (can click for my other post about Mee Jawa @ Century Garden)
But taste totally from Mee Rebus or Mee Jawa, not even half an inch close. First, Mee Bandung is SPICY (atleast this particular store), very prominent dried shrimp taste in the gravy. It is very 'eggy' as well.

A very simple Mee Bandung Ayam

With just some greens, egg and chicken meat

A very simple mee dish that are made up of spicy gravy, topped with eggs, some greens, chicken meat (other places may have big prawns, lamb, blablabla)
But this neighborhood roadside stall keep it simple with just chicken meat and egg. I will say that, the mee bandung here is not pretentious. Down right honest tasty gravy with nicely cooked yellow mee.

As usual, the plate will be pretty clean as 'i-will-drink-it-all-up'.

Remember that I said I was disappointed with the new menu and pricing? This meal, Mee Bandung Ayam + Teh O suam cost me RM7 today.
Before this, the same combo of Mee Bandung Ayam + Teh O suam will only cost me RM5.
Yes, RM5 for Mee Bandung and Teh O/Kopi O (not too long ago, maybe about 2 months ago)

A bit pricy for a roadside stall now (ok, ok, I am a cheapo ok?)  but taste one, definitely one of the better tasting Mee Bandung in Johor Bahru though the ingredients are very basic

!!  ** MY VERDICT **  !!

WORTH THE MONEY? : ♥ (would have been 6 stars if they still charge the old price)
TASTE :  (Simple yet tasty. I love the spiciness and non pretentious version of mee bandung)
ENVIRONMENT : ♥♥ (Roadside stall, on grassy patch. It is just rain, it will be muddy)
ACCESSIBILITY  :  (Just park by the roadside)
RETURN TO EAT : Of course, one of our favourite makan spot

Photo of the shop frontage and location map as below.
